FAQ

What is JoinCercu?

JoinCercu is a community-powered financial platform. We help you save money, build credit, and access funds through trusted “Savings Circles” (traditionally known as ROSCAs, Tandas, or Pardnas). By digitizing these community traditions, we make them safer, more flexible, and capable of building your official credit history.

Who is JoinCercu for?

It’s for anyone who values community-driven finance. It is especially helpful for:

  • Newcomers and Immigrantslooking to port their financial reputation to a new country.
  • “Thin-file” userswho have the money and discipline but lack a traditional credit score.

Savers who prefer the accountability of a group over a solo bank account.

Do I need a bank account to start?

No. You can join with just a smartphone and a valid ID. As you grow, you can link a bank account to unlock faster transfers and deeper financial insights, but it isn’t a requirement to get started.

Does JoinCercu replace my bank?

Think of us as a financial bridge, not a replacement. We help you build the “financial identity” that banks often require, while giving you access to community tools—like group savings—that most banks don’t offer.

Can I bring my financial history from my home country?

Yes. We believe your hard work shouldn’t disappear when you cross a border. Where available, we can help you verify and “port” your international credit or savings history through our global data partners.

What is the JoinCercu Wallet?

This is your personal hub in the app. Your contributions to groups are sent from here, and your payouts land here. You can hold your balance in the wallet, use it for new groups, or withdraw it to your local currency.

How do I add money to my wallet?

We support the most popular local methods for easy access:

  • USA: Zelle and linked bank transfers.
  • Canada: Interac e-Transfer and linked bank accounts.
  • Global: Various local payment methods depending on your region.
How fast are the transfers?
  • Near-Instant:Interac and Zelle transfers usually show up in minutes.
  • Standard:Traditional bank transfers (ACH/EFT) may take 2–3 business days. The app will always show you an estimated arrival time before you confirm.
Is my money held in volatile cryptocurrency?
  • No. By default, your funds are held in your local currency (fiat). While we use blockchain technology behind the scenes to keep transactions secure and transparent, you don’t need to manage “crypto” or worry about market swings.

What are "RWA-backed" groups?
  • RWA stands for Real World Assets. In some specialized groups, the collective savings are backed by stable, tangible assets like Tokenized Gold. This adds an extra layer of transparency and value-preservation to the group’s funds.

What is a ROSCA?
  • A ROSCA (Rotating Savings and Credit Association) is a group where everyone contributes a fixed amount monthly. Each month, one member receives the “lump sum” payout until everyone has had their turn. It’s an interest-free way to save and borrow.

What is a "Guarantor"?

A guarantor is a trusted member who “vouches” for you. Think of it as a character reference that helps the group feel secure. In some groups, a guarantor may share responsibility if a payment is missed, but all these rules are shown clearly before you join.

What are "NFT Payout Positions"?

Don’t let the name confuse you—in JoinCercu, an NFT is simply a digital, tamper-proof receipt. It represents your “place in line” for a payout. Because it’s digital, eligible users can even “trade” their turn with someone else in the group if they need money sooner (or later) than planned.

How does JoinCercu help me build credit?

When you make on-time contributions to your savings group, you are demonstrating financial discipline. Through our CreditBridge technology, we can report this verified behavior to major credit bureaus (with your consent). This turns your community savings habit into a formal credit score.

Is a credit score increase guaranteed?

No one can guarantee a specific score, as credit depends on many factors. However, JoinCercu ensures your positive savings habits are finally visible to the financial system, which is the first step toward a better score.

How long does it take?

Most members begin to see a “track record” forming after 3 to 6 months of consistent, on-time participation.

What is my Security Index Score?

This is your “reputation score” within the JoinCercu ecosystem.

  • Individual Score:Based on your identity verification, on-time payments, and history.

Group Score: Based on how well your specific savings circle performs as a whole.

Why does this score matter?

A higher score unlocks better features, such as:

  • Access to larger savings groups.
  • Lower fees or no requirement for a guarantor.
  • The ability to trade your payout position.
Does this affect my official credit score?

Not directly. It is an internal score. However, the same good habits that raise your JoinCercu Security Index are the ones that will eventually help your official credit score.

Is JoinCercu safe?

Absolutely. We use bank-level encryption, multi-factor authentication, and smart-contract technology to ensure that funds are only moved according to the group’s rules. No one—not even JoinCercu—can “disappear” with your funds.
